Rashmi is a professional artist with a fine arts degree from Bombay, India with additional specialization in photography and ceramics.  Her work has been exhibited in prominent galleries in Bombay, New Delhi and Connecticut as well as the Museum of Modern Art in Bhopal, India.

She has received a visual arts fellowship from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism for her photo collages, three of her which are in the permanent collection of the New Britain Museum of American Art. Rashmi was awarded the Regional Initiative Grant by the Connecticut Office of the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts for a town-wide community art project, in partnership with the Wallingford Public Library, to create a 3’X8’ photo collage with the residents of Wallingford.  She has also been recently awarded the Public Art in the Community (PAC) grant from the Connecticut Office of the Arts for 10 large panels of collages for the five branches of the New Haven Free Public Library, for a total size of 4' X 27'.
